ArfidLess is a guided self-help tool for people who experience Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder. We help you explore food at your own pace through short, structured sessions — no pressure, no judgement.
Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID) is a clinically recognised eating disorder where people limit the amount or type of food they eat — not because of body image concerns, but because of sensory sensitivities, low appetite, or fear of negative consequences like choking or being sick.
It affects both children and adults, and is especially common among autistic people. ARFID can impact nutrition, social life, and overall wellbeing — but with the right support, people can gradually expand their relationship with food.
ArfidLess uses principles from graded exposure therapy — a well-researched approach where you gradually and voluntarily interact with foods at increasing levels of closeness: looking, smelling, touching, and eventually tasting.
Each session is short, guided, and entirely within your control. Over time, the app learns your patterns and suggests personalised next steps based on your comfort level and progress.
